This autumn’s meeting focuses on, “Embryonic-Extraembryonic Interactions: from Genetics to Environment”. This is the third in a series of international workshops on the extraembryonic-embryonic interface, bringing together researchers that address this topic through a wide array of approaches in diverse research organisms: from epigenetics to morphogenesis, and from mice and marsupials to beetles and bugs!
The workshop style of the meeting allows for extensive discussion and informal interactions. In addition to short oral presentations from selected abstracts, poster presenters will also have the opportunity to provide two-minute platform introductions to their posters during a dedicated session. Active, lively participation has been a hallmark of these workshops.
The two previous meetings were in Göttingen in 2015 and Leuven in 2011.
To appreciate the breadth of recent advances at the extraembryonic-embryonic interface, check out the meeting report in Development on the previous workshop.
This year’s meeting will take place on Monday 10 – Thursday 13 September 2018, at Corpus Christi College, Oxford.
Online registration and abstract submission are now open. The deadline for early-bird registration, abstract submission, and conference grant applications for current BSDB members is Monday, 16 July.
It is worth highlighting that for BSDB members (students, post-docs and PI’s with restricted funding) there are conference grants available that will cover all registration/accommodation expenses. If you are a BSDB member this is a great opportunity to go to an excellent meeting and if you are not member you can become one before the deadline to also benefit from these grants!
We look forward to welcoming you at the meeting!
